Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Dollar Printer mobile app and website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
1. Who we are
Dollar Printer ("we", "us") operates the Dollar Printer mobile application and the website at dollar-printer.com. For questions about this policy or your data, contact info@dollar-printer.com.
Data controller: [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY]. (Replace before publishing.)
2. What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function. Specifically:
| Category | Data | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store your actual password), optional username and profile picture. | You, at registration |
| Subscription | Which plan you hold, start and end dates, renewal status, invoice records, amounts billed and amounts received. | Generated by us |
| Exchange accounts | If you connect an exchange: encrypted API key and secret, the permissions granted, your balances, open positions, orders and portfolio snapshots. | You, if you choose to connect one |
| Content you post | Messages you send in community channels, including any images you attach. | You |
| Device & notifications | A push notification token, device platform, and app version, so alerts can reach your phone. | Your device |
| Usage | Activity records such as logins, subscription changes and trade executions you initiate, plus your watchlist and app preferences. | Generated as you use the app |
| Technical | IP address and request metadata in server logs, kept for security and debugging. | Automatic |
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photo library beyond images you deliberately attach, advertising identifiers, or biometric data. We run no third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this website.
3. Exchange API keys — read this one
If you connect an exchange account so the app can show your positions or place trades you approve, you give us API credentials for that exchange. This is the most sensitive data we hold, so it deserves its own section.
- Your API key and secret are encrypted at rest in our database.
- They are used only to carry out actions you initiate in the app, and to read the balance and position data the app displays to you.
- We never sell, share or transfer them to anyone.
- You can disconnect an exchange account at any time from the app, which deletes the stored credentials.
Our strong recommendation: create API keys with trading permissions only — never enable withdrawal permission — and enable your exchange's IP whitelist. No service, ours included, should hold a key that can move your funds off the exchange.
4. Why we use it
- To provide the service — authenticate you, show the channels your subscription covers, deliver signals, and sync your exchange data.
- To handle billing — issue invoices, email payment links, confirm receipt, and manage renewals and expiry.
- To communicate with you — payment and renewal emails, password resets, and push alerts for new signals and messages.
- To keep the community usable — moderate content and enforce our Terms.
- To keep the service secure — detect abuse, debug failures, and maintain records of account and payment activity.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (providing the service you paid for), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement), consent (push notifications, which you can withdraw in your device settings), and legal obligation (keeping financial records).
5. Payments
Subscriptions are paid in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments, an external payment processor. When you open a payment link you are on their page, not ours, and their own privacy policy governs what they collect there.
We never see or store your wallet's private keys, seed phrase, or any card or bank details. What we receive back from the processor and store is limited to: the invoice and payment identifiers, the amount billed, the amount and currency received, the network used, and the payment status.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the service:
| Provider | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| NOWPayments | Invoice amount and reference; your email if you enter it on their page | Processing crypto payments |
| ZeptoMail (Zoho) | Your email address and the message content | Sending transactional email |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) | Your device push token and notification content | Delivering push notifications |
| Your chosen exchange | API calls made with your own key | Showing your data and placing trades you approve |
| Our hosting provider | All service data, as the infrastructure it runs on | Running the servers and database |
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7. How long we keep it
- Account data — while your account exists, and up to 90 days after you delete it, to handle disputes and reversals.
- Payment and invoice records — up to 7 years, where financial record-keeping law requires it.
- Exchange credentials — deleted as soon as you disconnect the account.
- Messages you posted — retained as part of channel history; deleting your account removes your authorship from view.
- Server logs — typically 30 days.
8. How we protect it
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are never recoverable in plain text.
- Exchange API credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Access to production systems is restricted to the operator of the service.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and any required regulator without undue delay.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate — you can edit your name and profile in the app directly.
- Delete your account and personal data, subject to the financial records we must keep.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent for push notifications, at any time, in your device settings.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email info@dollar-printer.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account: email us and we will delete it. Deletion is permanent and does not refund any remaining subscription time.
10. Children
Dollar Printer is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our servers and the providers listed above operate in various countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
13. Contact us
